Examination - DTZ - German test for immigrants A2-B1

The German test for immigrants A2•B1 (or DTZ for short) is a final exam for the integration
courses of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).
- This test is carried out by g.a.s.t. e.V. carried out.

As an approved examination center of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), we
carry out the integration course test "German test for immigrants" and
the naturalization test / orientation course test "Life in Germany".

From January 1st, 2023, you may only take the exam if you have a
BAMF identification number/file number/PKZ or have attended an integration course (1 module)
for at least 100 hours.
- The "German test for immigrants" (DTZ) consists of a written and an oral test.

At the end you will receive a certificate that certifies your overall language skills
at level B1 or A2. If your language skills are below level A2, you will not receive a
certificate, just a notification of your result.

The DTZ certificates are sent to us about four weeks after the test and are then ready
for collection.

Test ""Living in Germany""

The naturalization test or “Living in Germany” test is carried out on behalf of the
Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).
- The "Living in Germany" test takes place after an orientation course on a separate date.
- You can prepare for the naturalization test or the "Living in Germany" Test
by interactively completing the questionnaire in the BAMF's online test center.
